Day Twenty One – All You need Is Love
20th September, 2012
We woke up this morning and decided that we would try and get tickets to the Cirque Du Soleil Love show tonight. We went downstairs to see if they had any discounted tickets available at the half price ticket booth on the street. We had no luck so we went back to the hotel and bought some full price tickets online for the 9:30 session tonight.
After this we had a late breakfast and then returned to the pool for a few hours of relaxing. Being our last day in Vegas we decided to make the most of the hot weather and the pool.
On our way back to our hotel room Paul kindly brought up the fact that we hadn’t been on the hotel’s roller coaster yet so we headed up to have a go.
Paul thought it was fun. Bron hated every second of it and had her eyes closed the whole time. BUT… at least she can say she did it!
We got ready and caught the bus to the Mirage which is where Love was showing. We got there a few hours early so we wandered the shops in the Venetian hotel for a while and then headed over to the Mirage at 7:30pm. We picked up our tickets and then went and had dinner in a restaurant called BB Kings Blues Bar. This was a pretty cool restaurant and they had a live Motown band playing who were awesome. We both love this type of music. The melodies are so memorable! The food was really good too. We stuck around and watched the band until about 9:15 then made our way to the theatre.
We both went in not really knowing what to expect as we hadn’t seen a Cirque Du Soleil show before. It was pretty amazing. The acrobatics, dancing and stage effects were very entertaining and being backed by Beatles music made it even better.
The show finished at about 11:10pm and we decided to walk back to our hotel instead of catching the bus which was good, always so much happening on the streets of Vegas!
Bags are now packed ready for our last destination, San Francisco.
